Liverpool have become the latest club to reveal their brand new kit for the 2013/2014 Premier League season.

Brendan Rodgers’ men seem to be playing on the success of their past with a slick new shirt, which is based on the basic design from the 1983/1984 season when they won their fourth European Cup.

Former Liverpool striker Ian Rush has described the kit as one for the fans, who have stuck with the team through a difficult season this year as the club has adjusted both on and off the field to significant changes. He said in the Guardian.

“It’ll remind them of the club’s history of success and drive them even more to bring that success back to the club.”

Next season could be a very exciting campaign for Liverpool fans, as the club is likely to secure Europa League football and reap the benefits from having some of the most exciting young players in the Premier League.

This summer also gives the club a chance to go into the transfer market and make significant changes, which Brendan Rodgers didn’t have the opportunity to do when he was appointed last summer.

The potential of what Liverpool could achieve next season is very exciting, which makes owning one of the brand new shirts top of the agenda for Liverpool fans all over England, Europe and the rest of the world.

Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, applauded the new kit by saying:

“It’s distinctly Liverpool which the players and I love. It exceeds what we need it to do technically while also delivering a strong visual statement.”

Also talking about the new 2013-14 Liverpool home shirt, the head of Warrior Football, Richard Wright, said:

“The new home kit pays tribute to the renowned success LFC is built on, but it is also a nod to the future.

Our design team has further developed what was loved about our last design and lifted it to a new level. The result is an innovative take on the iconic red jersey.”

Captain Steven Gerrard said that the team has embraced the new design. He said:

“The players and I are all genuine fans of the new kit.

“It will certainly spark many happy memories of the club’s famous fourth European Cup win for supporters of that era.

“As with all Liverpool shirts, I will wear it with pride and carry the excitement and history of what it represents and as a team, we hope to bring that success back to the club.”

Liverpool and Warrior are encouraging fans to weigh in with their feedback about the new home kit. Fans can use Twitter to connect with to them using the hashtag, #RiseUpLFC. You can follow Warrior Football on Twitter @WARRIOR_FTBL.
