Won this race 12 months ago and is expected to succesfully defend his title. Hasn’t won since but has run some top races in defeat this season and this would have been the target during this campaign anyway. Like to get on with it from the front, with will help him stay out of trouble again and we saw yesterday that in the softer conditions those raced to the front did well.

This has been a good race for trainer Willie Mullins – winning 5 of the last 6 – and he’s back for more with a big army. His Dinoblue is meant to be useful, but the value call in the race is Hors Piste with Bryan Cooper riding. A very easy winner at Clonmel last time out in soft/heavy ground (16 lengths) and with that also coming over further we know she stays further too.
