Hearts defender Aaron Hickey has attracted a lot of interest from European heavyweights with his performances this season.
As per Daily Record, German giants Bayern Munich are keen on the 17-year-old defender.
The Bavarians are not the only club after him this summer. Apparently, the player is on Celtic’s radar as well.
Hickey played for Celtic as a youth player and it will be interesting to see if the Hoops can bring him back to the club.
The young left back is a top prospect and he would be the ideal signing for Celtic. They are in desperate need of a top quality left back.
The likes of Boli and Taylor have not been at their best so far and Celtic’s left back slot has been weakened since the departure of Tierney.
Hickey could be the ideal long term addition for the Hoops but beating Bayern Munich to his services won’t be easy.
The Germans have far more resources and they are a lot more attractive as a project.
That said, Hickey could have more chance of playing for Celtic’s first team next season as compared to that of Bayern.
The Germans are well stocked with international stars in every position.
Hickey needs to join a club where he can play regularly and a move to Celtic could be beneficial for him.
