On Monday, May 31st 2010, Jose Mourinho had officially signed a 4-year-contract with Real Madrid. Florentino Perez’s interest in bringing Jose Mourinho to Santiago Bernabeu is closely related to the series of success which this 47-year-old coach has achieved. Jose Mourinho presented the Champions League title to Porto, ended a Premier League’s title drought for Chelsea for over 50 years and certainly the most spectacular was bringing Inter Milan won the treble last season.
Jose Mourinho is also listed as the third coach who gets to bring Champions League home with two different clubs. Real Madrid’s expectation of the Special One must be very high. Jose Mourinho is expected by Madridistas to give the title to Real Madrid, as he gave the title to the previous clubs he has ever trained.
Of course everybody is looking forward, and I bet, very excited, to see how the Madrid’s boys performance under The Special One. A team with a sprinkling of world class stars with different characteristics. Not an easy task for a coach set the star players because they generally have a high ego. However, Jose Mourinho has emphasized that he did not hesitate to kick players out of the squad. Players who do not obey him.
However, with the composition of great players El Real are now having, plus a super genius and very talented coach, I believe that they are able to reach the title in the upcoming season.
And the key of success is only one, Real Madrid players are gonna have to be able to accept and follow Jose’s training style. Mourinho has already proved himself as a great coach. Now it is up to the Bernabeu’ kids. They have to understand and translate Jose’s desire in the field. Mourinho’s assertiveness and discipline are expected to increase the power on for El Real in various competitions.
Wait, there’s one more. Jose once said, well, more or less, “I will handle the club in my own way”. This means that Jose doesn’t need any interruptions or interventions from others, especially from the club board, regarding the way he trains or which players he wants in his squad. Florentino, if you do as he says, I bet the trophies already on their way to Bernabeu.
Welcome to Bernabeu, Coach.
