Celtic held their nerve to secure a 0-0 draw against Rosenborg and set up their Champions league clash against AEK Athens.
The Boys were far from convincing in Trondheim but they stayed resolute in defence on a nervy night in Norway.
Brendan Rodgers’s side eventually secured a 3-1 aggregate win over Rosenborg but they played nowhere near their best on Wednesday.
Former Celtic player and now popular pundit Chris Sutton also praised the Bhoys for grinding out the result, claiming it wasn’t a vintage result but they stuck to their task well.
Well done to Celtic ??Not vintage by any means but stuck to the task well… Jury still out for me on Hendry and Ajer but fair play to them second half they defended strongly.. these ties aren’t easy⚽️

Celtic centre-backs Jack Hendry and Kristoffer Ajer were very solid while the likes of Cristian Gamboa also put in an assured performance.
They did all the hard work in the first leg a week earlier when they sealed a comfortable and emphatic 3-1 win. And did just enough to set up a date with AEK Athens in the next round.
Gamboa took to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after the result. The Bhoys fans were quick to respond to his tweet and praised him highly for his good performance.
Job done!! ?? On to the next one!! #UCL #RBKCEL #ChampionsLeague
