Chelsea have contacted the Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to become their manager this summer.
Interim boss Guus Hiddink has done extremely well to turn things around at Stamford Bridge after the departure of Jose Mourinho, but he was always going to be a short-term appointment.
Simeone has been linked with a move to Chelsea over the last few months and now Mirror have claimed that the Blues got in touch with the Argentine’s sister to make him aware of their interest.
The Argentine is regarded as one of the finest managers in Europe right now and he has already won the La Liga with Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea believe that Simeone might be interested in a new challenge and the Premier League has always been an attractive proposition for foreign managers.
With Guardiola and Klopp already in the Premier League next season, Simeone could be another stunning addition.
The Atletico Madrid manager would be the perfect person to rebuild the side at Stamford Bridge and take them back to the top of English football.
Earlier this season there were reports that Simeone could earn up to 12 million euros per season if he joins Chelsea. The Blues are also ready to pay his £3.1m release clause.
