Xherdan Shaqiri has been one player whose future has come under intense speculation since the summer. The Swiss midfielder has hardly featured for Bayern Munich over the past two seasons and has reasonably been frustrated over the lack of game-time on the pitch. Shaqiri was linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer while Roma were also interested but he ultimately stayed put at the Bavarian giants.
bayern had recently said that the winger is available for €15m to potential suitors which clearly indicates that they are willing to sell the player. According to yesterday’s reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website, Juventus have contacted Shaqiri’s agent over a possible move o Turin in January. However, it is unlikely that they will splash the cash for his services and could ask for a loan move till the end of the season.
Shaqiri has a contract with Bayern till 2016 but it is highly unlikely that he will see out the remaining years at Bayern. Liverpool are also interested while Atletico Madrid could also jump in for Shaqiri in January. Inter Milan too are also keeping tabs on the situation.
