According to reports from Italian media outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, Alessio Cerci could be set for a transfer move away from Torino and he has been left out of the squad to face Inter Milan on Sunday night in the brand new Serie A season.
La Liga winners Atletico Madrid and English giants Arsenal are already linked with the player and as deadline day looms large Torino chairman Urbano Cairo claimed: “Alessio Cerci’s sale is still possible and he has asked to leave.”
Earlier the 27 year old was also left out of Tornio’s Europa league squad amidst reports that the player’s agent was in talks with the Gunners. We had reported earlier this week thatSouthampton are also interested in the Italian international and are willing to pay €12m for acquiring the services of the player dubbed as the ‘Italian Messi’. However there has been no follow up on the story by the Italian media outlets.
Earlier in April both the Manchester clubs, United and City were interested in Cerci who had claimed that he was unsure about his future in Italy.
