Horse Racing Betting Tips for Friday November 26th:

NEWBURY JOCKEYS

JAMES BOWEN has a good book of rides at Newbury today, three of them for Nicky Henderson who rarely leaves this meeting without a winner or two. Bowen’s rides for Henderson haven’t shown a profit over the year (55 winners from 266 mounts (20.7% strike-rate, -£16.53 to a £1 level stake at SP) but those on which he’s made the running or sat prominent do far better. He’s 44 from 169 in those circumstances for a profit of £26.68. Of the beaten horses, 53 finished second or third and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t cover the spread (set at 26-28 with Spreadex). MISTER COFFEY (1.50) looks especially interesting on his reappearance – his seasonal debut record reads 111 (3-3), MORNING VICAR should be up with the pace throughout in the 2.25 and ON THE BLIND SIDE looks overpriced in the 3.00, as he’s the only one in the six-runner line-up whose likes to be anywhere near the early pace.

Recommendation: Buy JAMES BOWEN in Newbury jockeys

CHELMSFORD 6.15

BEGGARMAN heads the betting at 11-8 with Spreadex for this 2m handicap but Hughie Morrison’s four-year-old could prove vulnerable. He won comfortably at Kempton 16 days ago but he’s yet to race at Chelmsford and progeny of Toronado often disappoint here. They’ve won on just three of their 85 visits to the Essex venue (3.5% strike-rate) for a loss of £45.40 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those three winners were juveniles and the score is 0-63 for three-year-olds and older. Sell in the 50-25-10 Spreadex market is the call.

Recommendation: Oppose BEGGARMAN in Chelmsford 6.15
