Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is on his way back to England after a failed loan spell with German outfit Borussia Dortmund.
According to Mirror, the Belgian forward will return to Old Trafford in a few days following Louis Van Gaal’s request to cancel his loan deal.
The Dutchman was strictly against the move initially but agreed to let the player join Dortmund after the player himself convinced the manager.
Januzaj wanted to go out on loan in search of regular first-team football, but he fell out of favour with new Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Belgian failed to make his mark in Germany and was accused of having a weak mentality. Januzaj made just one start during his loan spell.
Van Gaal has now personally asked him to return and will hope that the young attacker can contribute to Manchester United’s stuttering attack.
The youngster can operate as an attacking midfielder as well as a wide forward and will add much-needed flair and pace to Van Gaal’s attack.
Januzaj was spotted at Old Trafford last week during Manchester United’s clash against Chelsea.
The Belgian is expected to join up with the Manchester United squad soon.
