Premier League club Manchester City are reportedly interested in swooping in on Spain in January to recruit a couple of top quality players.
A report on Goal.com suggests that the cash-packed Eastlands side are willing to splash any amount of cash to sign some top quality La Liga stars. Among the Spain-based players whom Man City are looking to sign are the Sevilla stars Luis Fabiano and Diego Capel. Man City manager Mark Hughes insists that they are not looking to sign any more Brazilians but reports in the Spanish press suggest that the money-blessed side are eager to sign the Brazilian hot-shot Luis Fabiano.
Fabiano is one of the best and most prolific strikers in Spain and there has been speculation on his future at the Andalucian club since the end of last season. He finished as the second highest top scorer in La Liga last season and although he has not been at his best of form so far this season, he still remains a very productive striker.
But Man City want to gift Sevilla a double blow as they are also looking to sign Diego Capel along with Luis Fabiano. Capel, a left winger, is yet to sign a new contract at Sevilla and there are consistent reports on him leaving the club. The Spanish international is very young and skillful and would be a valuable addition to the Manchester City unit.
Yet it wouldn’t be very easy for Manchester City to sign the players. Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido is said to be a very hard negotiator and if he is not in the mood to sell his players, then he simply won’t.
