Jose Mourinho signed the Colombian with the hope that the mega money Chelsea transfer would make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge and provide his side, a much needed outlet on the right wing.

Cuadrado was supposed to help out Hazard

Quite often last season, Eden Hazard was the main creative outlet for Chelsea and Ivanovic provided width and attack fro the right.

Cuadrado was signed to strengthen the right side of the pitch and aid Chelsea’s title challenge with an instant impact in January.

However, Cuadrado turned out to be everything Mourinho had not expected. Slow decision making, predictable. lacking in confidence and no goal threat meant that the Colombian failed to cement a regular starting berth at Chelsea.

Cuadrado enjoyed great success in Italy

Fast forward to the summer of 2015, it seems Cuadrado is ready to go back to Serie A.

The Colombian enjoyed a successful career in Italy and is keen to return, especially now that Juventus are interested.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are not done with their summer transfer business and are looking at the prospect of signing Cuadrado from Chelsea.

After Fillipe Luis completed his return to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, it seems another Chelsea player could be on his way back.

Juventus ready to sign Cuadrado this summer?

The report states that the deal makes perfect sense for Juventus economically and could be completed if the Italian giants make a formal offer.

Although Jose Mourinho has insisted that Juan Cuadrado is not for sale, the Portuguese isn’t exactly known for his honesty surrounding transfers.

It is believed that if a suitable offer comes in for the struggling midfielder, Chelsea will look for replacements.
