Championship outfit Wolves have confirmed the agreement to sign Leo Bonatini on loan for next season.

The highly talented Brazilian striker will look to aid Wolves’ promotion push now.

The 23-year-old has joined the Championship club from Al Hilal and it will be a major step up in terms of league quality and performance standards.

Bonatini scored 15 goals for Al Hilal last season and he will be hoping that experience can help him perform at his new club. Previously, he has played in Europe with Estoril, where he managed to score 24 goals in 53 games.

He has also played for Cruzeiro in the past. Bonatini had a loan spell at Juventus as well.

The Brazilian will be Nuno Espirito Santo’s 11th signing ahead of the Championship season. Bonatini seemed delighted to have joined Wolves and he revealed that he is looking forward to making his mark in England.

He said: “It is a dream for me to play here and to live here – it is an amazing country. The staff here are already trying to help me with everything and I am sure it will go well. It is a new change and all the time you feel you have the butterflies in the stomach – that is normal. Then when you go inside the pitch for the first time it is normal again and then I will feel very happy to have a big opportunity. It is a big club and is also famous in Brazil, and I am very excited to play here. It is a dream to play in the Championship but even more in the Premier League and we can put our names in the history of this club if we achieve it. When you come to a new club all the time you always want to put your name in the history.”
