Wigan Athletic, only two points above the relegation, hosts Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in the Premiership.

Tottenham remains in contention for the fourth spot and is two points behind Man City. Spurs will need to improve their away form where they are only 4-5-4 and have a -1 goal difference. They struggled in their last EPL match with a 0-1 loss at Wolves. Jermain Defoe leads the club with 15 goals in the EPL this season.
Wigan had aspirations of a top half finish but a winless streak of five matches has them in the relegation battle. Wigan’s problems are with their defense that has conceded 49 goals in 25 matches. This combined with only 26 goals in 25 matches has Wigan with a 6-7-12 record. Their home record has been decent with a 3-5-4 but not great by any standard.
Tottenham have a balanced attack that will force Wigan to play defense and probably score goals to get any kind of result. Spurs should get at least a draw as they are clearly the better team. They will need at least a draw to keep pace with the other teams fighting for the last Champions League spot.
It should be an entertaining match between two teams on opposite ends of the EPL table.
