SuperBru is a free social sports prediction game. It’s a fun, competitive game for casual and fanatical sports fans alike.
SuperBru’s Premier League prediction game is a fun way to compare your predictions with those of your friends and other football fans. Below, we look at the BBC’s (in)famous Mark Lawrenson’s weekly predictions and compare them with that of the SuperBru community.
The first round of Premier League action saw a solid if unspectacular set of picks from Lawro, the BBC Football presenter, entered on SuperBru’s Premier League prediction game.
His weekend got off to a great start with the first two games (Liverpool 1-0 Stoke, West Ham 2-0 Cardiff) predicted exactly right, but then everything fell apart as his next five picks were all wrong, including the shock result of the round: Aston Villa’s 3-1 win over Arsenal, a result only 2.29% of the SuperBru community got right.
A mini-resurgence at the end of the weekend saw Lawro get the Chelsea v Hull score (2-0) bang on, while also correctly predicting the winner (but not the margin) in Tottenham and Man City’s first games.
The big game in round two comes in the shape of Man Utd against Chelsea. At the moment roughly half of the SuperBru community are backing Man Utd to win at home, with around 30% picking a draw and only 20% going for a Chelsea away win.
Which way will Lawro go? As the most difficult pick of the round it could well be the game that defines whether you finish ahead of him or not.
