The 22 year old Belgian goalkeeper is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea since signing from Genk in 2011, spending the last three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid. Courtois though has insisted that he is not thinking of his future ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster Champions League final against cross town Real Madrid in Lisbon.

Courtois

We have the Champions League final on Saturday and then the World Cup, so now is not the time to think of the future. I have two years contract (left) with Chelsea, so we will see.”

Courtois though was vocal on a regular starting spot and insisted that at his age, he would love to start every game.

“If I move somewhere, I will play. At my age, the most important thing for me, and what I want to do, is to play. Petr is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he won the Golden Glove in the Premier League this season. I have a lot of respect for him, so we will see what Chelsea decide and what they plan to do. You guys will see the decision.”

Courtois has been in superb for the Rojiblancos this season, featuring in 48 appearances and has already won the La Liga title under the guidance of manager Diego Simeone. There have been reports that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho might play the youngster ahead of Petr Cech next season at Stamford Bridge. That would certainly end Cech’s illustrious career at Chelsea, for a goalkeeper of his reputation wouldn’t want to play as the back up goalkeeper and spend time on the sidelines.
