Some Leeds United fans have vented their frustration on social networking site Twitter after the Yorkshire club announced the departure of Mallik Wilks on Wednesday.
It is not like the fans are particularly unhappy with Wilks’ exit, but the club’s inactivity while bringing new players in has left them frustrated.
Leeds have been able to sign only one player so far, but they have been active in clearing the fringe players or high wage earners at the club, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to shape the squad to his own image.
The 19-year-old has joined the League One side till January 2. He has previously spent loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Grimsby Town.
He enjoyed a successful stint with Accrington, appearing 24 times for the League Two champions.
Wilks made his Leeds debut in the FA Cup third round tie against Sutton United in January 2017 and signed a new four-year deal with the club in August of last year.
Here are some of the best reactions from the Leeds fans on Twitter:
‘Dun dun dun….another one bites the dust’.
In seriousness, good loan move for him. Let’s hope he does well and scores plenty of goals.

I’d be inclined to hang fire on judgement until the start of the season. I know we’re dealing with a higher budget and higher calibre players being linked. Just need to get a few over the line. Not impressed so far but needed to get rid of some dead wood.

Would suggest they’ve clearly gone irons in fires Phil that they think they can pull off. Otherwise is sheer lunacy the rate we’re shipping players out #lufc

Surprised he’s not playing up front for us on his own while we sell every other striker in the squad and sign a few league 2 players on loan.
