Children have the keenest, most wonderful imaginations, and no adult can deny that they sometimes miss being at an age where playing was everything, friends were your job, and all cares fell away like water sliding off your favourite football.
Feeling nostalgic, and surely a touch excited at the impending tournament in Brazil, the boys at Samsung have constructed a heartfelt video showing a host of children’s ideas and dreams through the eyes of one of the their very best friends; their football.
Exquisitely filmed, and from a time never forgotten, ‘I See Your Dreams’ is a beautifully imagined look at the innocence of childhood, and it’s consistency all over the globe.
From outside a Mexican-looking bar in the warm, dying sun; to a windswept beach strewn with wood for goal-construction; to a peaceful countryside villa – and a boy so very eager to emulate his hero Cristiano Ronaldo – Samsung has captured the essence of dreams here, and their slogan, “It’s not about where football takes them, it’s about how football lets them dream”, sums it all it up perfectly.
Samsung fashioned their very own song for the piece which encapsulates the happy, innocent mood exuded by the many children, united on their common adoration for the beautiful game. South African based “Drakensburg Boys Choir”, comprised of a multi-racial group of children, reach out to every corner of the globe with their uplifting melody.
Check out the video, share it around, and do let me know what you think!
