Liverpool have been a joy to watch this season. The attacking unit of Suarez, Sturrigde and Sterling have wrecked havoc this season and overall their sleek passing game is highly entertaining.

However, defence remains a major headache for the men in Reds. They have conceded 35 goals this season, with the defensive back four failing to provide enough security at times to goal keeper Simon Mignolet.

Steven Caulker

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers could be looking shake up the defence with one or two additions in the summer and according to the reports from The Telegraph, the former Swansea boss is interested in Cardiff captain Steven Caulker.

Rodgers has previously worked with him during his Swansea days, when he signed Caulker on loan from Tottenham.

The 22-year-old left Spurs at the start of the season for £8.5 million and has been one of the key performers for Cardiff. With 32 tackles and 34 interceptions in the league, he has been one of the bright performers for the Welsh side this campaign.

Cardiff are struggling at 19th in the league and should they face relegation, it would be hard for them to hold on to their star defender.

Manchester United are reportedly plotting a move for former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic.

The Montenegrin defender had an unsuccessful spell with Manchester City in 2011-12, but has emerged as a shock target for the Champions, according to reports in Italy.

The 23-year-old was sold to Fiorentina where he has been able to rebuild his reputation and Moyes now wants to bring him back to the Premier League again.

Manchester United need one or two centre-backs in the summer with club skipper Nemanja Vidic set to leave the club and Rio Ferdinand could retire as well.
