Glasgow Rangers are looking to bring Stewart Downing to Ibrox in the summer transfer window, according to the ever-reliable Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie.
He claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Gers are among a number of clubs vying for the signature of the 35-cap England international.

He is now a free agent after he left Middlesbrough at the end of his contract. Championship clubs Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers are also in the hunt to the sign the 34-year-old winger.
Downing has made 38 appearances in the Championship in 2018-19, scoring just two goals and providing one assist.
The former Aston Villa winger played with Steven Gerrard during his time at Liverpool, and it is easy to understand why the Gers boss might be keen to snap him up.
While he has lost his agility and sharpness, Downing brings loads of experience to the table. He is not a long term solution for the Gers, but he could be a game changer on his day.
He is still capable of producing moments of magic and could play a big role in the development of young talents at Rangers.
