Rangers have agreed a deal with Fleetwood Town for the loan transfer of Jason Holt.
The Rangers midfielder will now look to play regular first-team football at the English League One side.
The 25-year-old joined Rangers from Hearts back in 2015 but he has been a squad player for them in the recent seasons. Holt needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and a loan move is ideal for him.
The midfielder has 116 appearances for the Scottish giants so far and he has managed to score a total of 15 goals during his time at the club.
Fleetwood are managed by Joey Barton and Holt will be looking forward to meeting up with the former Rangers player.
An impressive loan spell at Fleetwood would allow Holt to return as a better player next summer and force his way into Steven Gerrard’s first team plans.
It will be interesting to see how he adapts to his new club next season.
Here is how the Rangers fans reacted to the news.

Hope he has a great season.
Always gave 100% whenever he played.
Shows his winning mentality if JB is wanting him.

Delighted it is only a loan. Still only 25 & if he can get a full season starting every week under his belt instead of only 18 starts who know what kind of player we’ll get back.
