SURREY QUEST did well to finish second to odds-on stablemate Russian Ruler in a Warwick bumper on his debut back in May, as he was ridden patiently on that pace-favouring track. He’s had wind surgery since and progeny of Milan have a great record on their first start back following the procedure, with 17 winners from 86 runners for a profit of £119.38.
