There’s a growing feeling in Paris that Mauricio Pochettino might not be a PSG manager as the club’s ownership is no longer happy with him.
PSG have reportedly knocked back Manchester United’s approach for their manager but that is not even a sign of confidence from the French giants. According to the Parisian, Pochettino is eager to leave Manchester United and if it were up to him, he would be at the Old Trafford dugout next week.
In Paris, the management’s goal is to replace him with ZInedine Zidane but it appears to be a little difficult because of several issues.
According to French media outlets, Pochettino’s reputation at the club has taken quite a hit. The club’s senior figures have not forgotten the manager’s behavior amidst rumors that he was leaving Parc des Princes for good.
More than that, there are doubts about his ability to manage a team with so many egos. Indeed, it has already been reported that one of the reasons why Pochettino is disillusioned at PSG is because he is growing tired of the free for all treatment given to some of the star players at the club.
Back in Qatar, the club’s ownership is reportedly not happy at the manager’s inability to handle the stars. It has been claimed that Nasser Al-Khelaifi feels that the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid effectively manage star players and believe that Pochettino is not the sort of manager who would be able to do that.
This is why, PSG are looking to make a move for Zidane but it appears that the French tactician might not be too eager about the job. It has been claimed that the former Real Madrid manager wants complete control over the club’s transfer activities. AT PSG, sporting director Leonardo takes care of player transfers which means that Zidane might have to make a few compromises if he wants to return to France.
