Chelsea have confirmed they have allowed Cristian Cuevas has left the club and joined Sint-Truidense on a season-long loan deal.
He joined the Premier League club from O’Higgins in 2013 and has not made his mark in the Blues’ first team. Since his move to Stamford Bridge, he has been on a loan move and will spend another season away on-loan.
” Cristian Cuevas has joined Sint-Truidense on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old spent last term on loan at Universidad de Chile and will now continue his development in the Belgian top division,” a statement read on Chelsea’s official website.

The Belgium club confirmed his arrival as they posted a photo of Cuevas holding Sint-Truidense shirt in their official website.
Cuevas can play as a left-back and also as a left-winger. Chelsea allowed Filipe Luis return to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer transfer window. Despite that, Jose Mourinho allowed another left-back leave the club.
The former Real Madrid manager admitted the Premier League champions could sign a left-back before the end of the transfer window.
“We need a left-back, the board knows that and my feeling is that we are going to have one,” Mourinho said.
With Cuevas leaving on loan and departure of the Brazilian international, coupled with the Portuguese tactician’s comments, it only suggests the a new face could arrive at the west London club.
Chelsea have now placed a €25m bid for Augsburg and the negotiations have reached an advance stage as the Ghana left-back is close to completing a switch to England.
