Manchester United are closing in on the sale of Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian midfielder has agreed terms with Italian giants AC Milan and the Serie A club are prepared to meet United’s demands for the box-to-box midfielder this month.
According to reports in Itay (via Express), Fellaini has already agreed to join AC Milan and now the two clubs are expected to complete the formalities soon.
Initially, Manchester United turned down the proposal of a loan move from AC Milan, but the report states that the two clubs are now prepared to do business on a permanent deal.
The report also states that Manchester United are willing to take a massive hit on the £27.5m they spent on Fellaini during the summer of 2013. The Old Trafford outfit are willing to let go of the player for a fee of around £15m.
The Belgian midfielder has started just five Premier League games this season and is keen to make a move away from Old Trafford in search of regular football. Fellaini is aware that he needs to play a high level consistently in order to make the Belgium squad for Euro 2016.
