€30m Manchester United target admits he is considering a move

Atletico Madrid defender Miranda has admitted that he has received offers from England and Spain, and his agent is in the process of negotiating them.

The 29-year-old has had an outstanding campaign for the Rojiblancos last season, helping his team win the La Liga title as also reaching the Champions League final as well. The Brazilian, who has not been included for the World Cup squad, revealed that he indeed he have options in both Spain and England.

“I have some offers and we are negotiating,” he told Brazil’s Radio Espn.

“I have offers from Spanish and English leagues and from some less important ones too.

“My agent is in Europe to decide my future, my buy-out fee at Atletico Madrid is €30million, but that can be negotiated.”

Miranda has been linked with Manchester United, with Spanish newspaper AS reporting last month that the defender has already started looking for schools for his children in Manchester.

However, the Old Trafford giants are bound to face competition from Barcelona, with Catalan newspaper Sport claims the Blaugrana have started negotiating with the player’s representatives and are confident of luring him for a much lower price, within €20m region.

Both Manchester United and Barcelona are in need of a top defender in the summer, but as Miranda hinted the transfer value can be negotiated, should United push hard to clinch the deal at the earliest?
