The new year might just become sweeter for Manchester United fans in the coming days. This is due to the fact that Spanish media outlet MARCA have claimed yesterday night that the United hierarchy have taken the decision to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal in the coming days. The Red Devils had paid €10m to get the Colombian star on loan for this season and need to pay a further €40m to French side Monaco to complete the net €50m signing.
Falcao has finally regained his peak fitness despite struggling earlier to make an impact for the Old Trafford side. However in recent weeks he has looked sharp but there are still concerns over his troublesome left knee. The report however states that tests performed in the past few days have confirmed that the lethal striker is now in his best shape and will be able to live up with the rigours of the excruciating Premier League football.
Manager Louis Van Gaal however would take the last decision regarding the matter but it appears that he has rubber stamped the move to secure Falcao permanently in the coming days. The report also states that Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev recently met up with super agent Jorge Mendes in Dubai for talks over the permanent move. Happy New Year Manchester United fans.
