Manchester United flop Anderson is looking to secure a permanent move to Fiorentina after his loan expires in the summer, claims talkSPORT.

The Brazilian was brought to Old Trafford by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2007 but failed to live up to his reputation in a United jersey. The 26 year old has been out of favour to David Moyes and was sent on loan to Fiorentina in January.

Adnan Januzaj’s rise to prominence and Darren Fletcher’s return from illness means that Anderson will further fall in the pecking order at Old Trafford surplus to requirements. David Moyes too is reluctant to give the left footed midfielder a second chance to impress.

Reports in Italy claim that Fiorentina are impressed by the United midfielder and Viola officials have started the negotiations with United over reaching an agreement to a permanent transfer in the summer.

Anderson has made 7 appearances since arriving at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and despite not scoring a goal, the Brazilian has shown flashes of his immense potential with a wide range of passing ability. Manager Vincenzo Montella however left him on the bench in his side’s 5-3 win over Verona in the weekend.

Fiorentina are currently fourth in Serie A and are looking to strengthen their squad in the summer to challenge for Chmapions League spot next season. The Viola will also be hopeful of achieving a discount on the €6m purchase option initially agreed with the English club.
