The Premier League have announced the 2021/22 fixtures today.

Manchester United will host Leeds United on the opening weekend of August 14/15, and it promises to be a cracker once again.

United travel to Crystal Palace on the final day of the season. They face Chelsea the week before which could be a massive game, either in the race for the title or a top-four spot.

October presents a tough challenge for United, where they face Everton, Leicester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in close succession.

March will also test United’s title credentials as they face Manchester City, Spurs and Liverpool.

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to express their reaction:

Last season saw Man City emerge as Premier League winners under Pep Guardiola, followed by the Red Devils and Liverpool.

United suffered heartbreak as they lost against Villarreal in the Europa League final, but overall there were plenty of positives.

Finishing above Liverpool will have given them a massive boost, and they must plan properly this summer.

Massive summer transfer window ahead

United are looking to bolster their defence this summer, despite securing a long-term deal for Eric Bailly.

The Red Devils are also looking to bring in a top-quality centre forward, and they have been linked with a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

United tried and failed to lure Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford last summer, but they are likely to sign the England international this time around.
