Leeds have agreed on a deal to sign the highly rated defender Leif Davis from Morecambe.

The 18-year-old has signed a three-year contract at Elland Road which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2021.

Davis impressed for the Sky Bet League Two side last season and the Whites have moved swiftly to secure his services.

The young defender is expected to have a big future and he will link up with Carlos Corberan’s U23 side for now.

Leeds have been trying to improve the pool of young talent at the club for a while now and Davis’ addition will certainly please the fans. The Whites have signed the likes of Sam Dalby, Ryan Edmondson and Jordan Stevens recently as well.

Speaking to the club media after completing his move, Davis revealed that he is delighted to join a club like Leeds and he is looking to get started as soon as possible.

The young defender also went on to describe himself as an attacking full-back who loves to get forward.
