Leeds United are interested in signing the Al Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah this summer.
As per the reports (translated by SportWitness), the Championship club are keen on bringing the Algerian to Elland Road and they have already submitted an offer for the player.
However, the first offer has been turned down. The report adds that Lille are interested in signing the player as well.
It will be interesting to see whether Leeds can outmuscle their competition financially. They are in desperate need of goals and Vydra has been linked with a move to the Whites as well.
Bounedjah is a key player for Al Sadd and they will not want to sell for cheap. Furthermore, the 26-year-old is looking to earn close to what he gets at Al Sadd and that could be a problem for Leeds.
Leeds have informed the player’s camp that they are determined to secure promotion next season and they will spend this summer.
The 26-year-old could prove to be a decent addition to Bielsa’s side next season. Matej Vydra is expected to come in as well and the duo could fire Leeds to promotion.
