Why will The Bomber Liston win?
This is The Bomber Liston’s handicap debut off a mark of 122. He has a nice racing weight of 10st 8lb as a result. In all of his racecourse outings to date, The Bomber Liston has been strongest at the finish. He kept on into third on his debut in a Ffos Las bumper and was then just denied by a nose at Catterick.
Connections gave The Bomber Liston a break after that and sent him hurdling this summer. His bow over obstacles came at Hexham in June where he was hampered climbing the steep hill on the home turn. The Bomber Liston couldn’t recover from that interference, yet kept on well into third.
Wind surgery followed and something clicked over hurdles when back in action at Uttoxeter last month. The Bomber Liston bolted up by 10 lengths, cruising to victory over Grand Lord who has since run a creditable third in handicap company at Wetherby under a welter burden. Henderson and McManus now go down that route with The Bomber Liston.
After just four starts under Rules, he remains open to plenty of further progress. The Bomber Liston is thus our Bet of the Day for 1 November.
