Brighton and Hove Albion confirmed on Friday that they have completed the signing of South African star Percy Tau from Mamelodi Sundowns.
He joins Chris Hughton’s side for a bargain fee believed to be in the region of £2.85 million.
Tau is currently regarded as one of the best players in his homeland of South Africa and was the joint top scorer in the Absa Premiership which is the South African top-flight last season with 11 goals.
He also boasts 12 international appearances for South Africa with 5 goals and is the reigning South African player of the year.
Tau is a decent player and he could develop into a star for Brighton with the correct guidance.
He will not be introduced into the Brighton setup this season but will go on loan with his progress being monitored by the Seagulls.
Welcome to #BHAFC, Percy! We look forward to seeing you not this season but next, good luck with your loan spell! #BHAFC
