The Telegraph reported couple of days back the Thibaut Courtois will return to Chelsea in the summer and that the Belgian goal keeper will not go out on loan again. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho himself praised the young Belgian, claiming, his save off John Terry was the turning point of the match.
Now, Spanish newspaper El Confidencial reports that Courtois will definitely return to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Thierry Courtois, the father and agent of Courtois, has made it clear to Atletico director, Miguel Angel Gil, CEO of the club, that his son must return to Chelsea in the summer and despite having enjoyed three successful seasons at the Vicente Calderon, no way he can stay beyond the end of the season.
The decision has been made already and Mourinho has confirmed this to owner Roman Abrahimovic. Furthermore, Chelsea will try to extend his contract, when he returns to London permanently.
Miguel Angel Gil has tried to keep Courtois, but following a meeting with Courtois’ father, he was told about the decision.
Meanwhile, several reports claimed that Chelsea have already signed Diego Costa, but El Confidencial says, although the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has spoken with the London club, the final deal is yet to be concluded.
