Chelsea are closing in on a £30m move for Everton’s John Stones.
Everton are actively looking for replacements and it seems AC Milan defender, Cristian Zapata has been earmarked as a possible replacement for the young English defender.
The Toffees have already rejected two offers from the Premier League Champions, Chelsea. But Mourinho is keen to get his man and will make a third and final bid in the region of £30m.
Although Roberto Martinez has claimed that Stones is not for sale, Everton have always been willing sellers for the right price and it is believed that the Merseysiders are holding out for a fee in the region of £30m.
John Stones is one of the best young defenders in the country and has been identified as a long term replacement for club captain and legend, John Terry.
Stones is also expected to replace Gary Cahill in the meantime as Chelsea look to strengthen their faltering defence.
Mourinho is keen to build a young back four for the future and is therefore looking to partner Stones with Zouma for the future.
Chelsea are also close to announcing the deal for Augsburg full back, Baba Rahman. The Blues have agreed a deal with the German outfit.
