Charlie Adam, the former Glasgow Rangers midfielder, has said that he would be open to returning to the Ibrox club in the summer.
Adam started his professional career with the Gers. He spent six seasons at the club before securing a loan move to Blackpool in 2009.
The 32-year-old sealed a move to Premier League giants Liverpool where he played alongside Reds legend and current Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
Adam joined Stoke City in 2012 and has been a key player for the Potters. However, with Stoke now relegated to the Championship, plus Adam being in his final year of his Stoke City contract, he could be looking to move elsewhere.
“I have had a chat with the club at Stoke. We know the situation that we are in,” said Adam when asked about a potential reunion with Gerrard.
“We will see and take it from there. There’s always an option (for me) – it’s Rangers.
“It’s a big club, I enjoyed my time here when I was young and I had a great time here. You can never rule it out. To return to a club like this would be a wonderful option for me.”
The Scotland international, who has 26 caps to his name, has told BT Sport that it would be a ‘wonderful option’ for him to return to his former club.
Rangers have been very active in the summer transfer window and the Gers boss has brought in a lot of new faces.
Furthermore, Rangers are well stocked in their central midfield region, but Gerrard could still bring in one more quality player, if he is available at a knockdown price.
