Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has revealed that he would like to play for Rangers again.
The 32-year-old started his career in Glasgow and he is clearly open to a return in future.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Adam explained that he is contracted to Stoke City for now and he is focused on the upcoming season in the Championship.
He said: “It’s a wonderful football club. I started there are learned my trade there, and I enjoyed Glasgow as a city. It [returning] is something that would always interest me to do, but at the moment I’m contracted to Stoke and I’m looking forward to the start of the season.”
It will be interesting to see whether the Scottish outfit makes a move for Adam in the future. There is no doubt that the Stoke City midfielder could be a good option for Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Rangers boss has worked with Adam at Liverpool and he will know all about the midfielder’s strengths and weaknesses.
Adam made just 11 league appearances for Stoke City last season and it will be interesting to see whether he can force his way into Gary Rowett’s plans next season. If he fails to hold down a regular starting berth at Stoke, a move away could be on the cards next summer.
