Celtic are interested in signing the French defender Brandon Soppy this summer.
As per Foot Mercato (via HITC), the 18-year-old’s performances in the UEFA Youth League have attracted Celtic’s attention.
The Scottish giants are not the only ones after the youngster this summer. The likes of Monaco and Leipzig are keen on the player as well.
It will be interesting to see if the Hoops make their move for Soppy in the coming weeks.
Celtic have benefited from signing talented young French players in the last few years and Soppy could develop into a star for them as well.
The likes of Edouard, Ntcham, Dembele have all gone on to become Celtic stars and Soppy will be looking to follow in their footsteps if he joins the club.
Celtic have a great track record when it comes to nurturing young players and they could help Soppy fulfill his potential as well.
The young defender needs to join a club where the manager trusts youth and will give him the chance to improve as a player. A move to Celtic could be ideal for him right now.
Once he has established himself as a key starter, he can then move on to bigger teams in future.
