SL View: Alternative to Granit Xhaka?
Lokonga was a key player for Anderlecht this past season, contributing three goals and three assists from midfield.
He could prove a quality option for the Gunners as they strive to replace Granit Xhaka this summer.
The Swiss international has been linked with Roma, and Lokonga could be a viable alternative despite favouring a more advanced role.
The 21-year-old has immense potential and could develop into a top-class player for Arsenal/
The reported €17 million (£14.6m) fee could look like a bargain if the midfielder fulfils his potential at the London club.
Lokonga is likely to be tempted to move to the Premier League as it would be a major step in his career.
The fact that personal terms have been agreed suggests that the player is keen on the transfer.
Although the two clubs are yet to agree a fee, it would be fair to assume that a compromise will eventually be reached.
