Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy is closing in on a transfer away from Emirates.
The French international defender is a target for the Turkish outfit Galatasaray and Arsenal have now agreed a deal with them for the right back.
It remains to be seen whether Debuchy will accept a move to Turkey now.
The experienced defender has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal ever since the development of Bellerin and is unlikely to get any first team chances unless the Spaniard picks up an injury.
Debuchy has made just 12 Premier League appearances over the last two seasons and has three years left on his contract at Arsenal. It will be interesting to see if he chooses to stay despite the fact that he won’t get much playing time.
A move away would be ideal for the 31 year old who is still good enough to play regular first team football. Furthermore, staying on the bench at Arsenal will affect his chances with the national team as well.
The player is expected to make his decision soon.
