Liverpool-s-Fabio-Borini_2809406Liverpool striker Fabio Borini’s agent has dismissed any reports linking his client with January exit.

The Italian spent the last season on-loan at Sunderland and the Black Cats publicly expressed their desire to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer. However, the deal did not take shape as the player was not keen on making a switch to the Stadium of Light.

In addition to this, Queens Park Rangers were also interested but due to Borini’s high wage demands the deal broke down. The former AS Roma striker has started only one league game this season and has been linked with a return to Serie A.

However, Borini’s agent Marco de Marchi has ruled out any move to Italy and rejected claims that he spoken to Fiorentina and Sampdoria.

“Fabio is not distressed in Liverpool and indeed he is working twice as hard to convince the coach to give him a chance. He knows Liverpool is one of the most important clubs in the world and that the competition is great,” De Marchi said.

“I have never spoken with Fiorentina and Sampdoria. I know that Inter Milan likes him but there were only rumours. Come back to Italy? Now I see it very difficult.”

It is evident that Borini is finding it hard to get regular playing time, despite Daniel Sturridge being injured. The 23-year-old is the fourth choice striker behind Sturridge, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.

The best option for Borini is to leave Anfiled in the mid-season transfer window if he is hoping to play regularly.
