AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has hinted that the club could make a move for Manchester City forward Robinho.
AC Milan wrapped up a deal for Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the weekend, and the Rossoneri received excellent contributions from Alexandre Pato, Ronaldinho, and the ageless Pippo Inzaghi in Sunday’s season-opening 4-0 rout of newly-promoted Lecce. But Berlusconi hasn’t ruled out a move the Brazil star, making note of the value of quality depth.
In speaking to Gazzetta Della Sport, Berlusconi said, “It doesn’t depend on us, if it depended on us … Milan’s ntentions are there. Where could he [Robinho play? We have so many possibilities and then it’s better to have three players for two roles.”
Robinho recently turned down a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce and stated to Brazilian media that he had options in Italy and Spain.
While it appears that AC Milan is his Italian option, Barcelona could be his Spanish options, if reports from the Daily Mail are to be believed.
