Lyon would score early and never trail as they got a crucial 3-1 win in the first leg.
Lisadro Lopez would score two of Lyon’s goal, one in the 10th minute and the second in the 77th minute. The other Lyon goal was scored by Michel Fernandes Bastos in the 32nd minute.
Bordeaux did tie the match at 1-1 with a goal from Marouane Chamakh in the 14th minute. After that point, Lyon scored the next two goals and will head to Bordeaux for the second leg. The win puts Lyon in good position to advance to the semifinals but Bordeaux have been very strong defensively at home.
