Liverpool travel to White Hart Lane this weekend and Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to bounce back from the defeat against Burnley with a win over Tottenham.

The Reds have done very well against Tottenham in the last few seasons and the German manager will hope to extend that run when his side play next.

Liverpool crashed to a 2-0 loss against Burnley after a thrilling win over Arsenal in the opening weekend. However, they managed to respond quickly and thrashed Burton 5-0 in the Capital One Cup earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Spurs are still unbeaten after a draw against Everton and a narrow win over Palace.

Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to exploit Liverpool’s defensive frailties when the two sides meet. The likes of Harry Kane, Eric Lamela and new signing Janssen are certainly good enough to trouble the Liverpool back four.

It will be interesting to see if Klopp persists with Milner as the makeshift left back instead of Moreno. The Spaniard is much more effective going forward, but his defensive abilities are not up to the mark.

Tottenham v Liverpool: Team News

Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with the return of Sadio Mane, Emre Can and Joel Matip. All three impressed in Liverpool’s 5-0 triumph over Burton and are expected to start here.

Daniel Sturridge scored twice during the midweek and could start up front. The likes of Sakho, Gomez, Lucas and Karius are still injured and will miss the trip to White Hart Lane.

As for Spurs, Hugo Lloris and Moussa Dembele are the only injury concerns for Pochettino.
