Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with a return to management with Manchester United at the end of the season.
The Portuguese manager has now revealed that he will indeed take up a new job in July.
According to recent reports, Mourinho has confirmed to the BT Sport reporter Matt Smith that he will return to management in July.
Van Gaal has failed miserably this season and the Old Trafford outfit are already out of the title race as well as the Champions League. Although they are still in the Europa League, they could be out of it soon after a crushing loss to bitter rivals Liverpool in the first leg of the tie.
Mourinho will be expected to take United back to the Champions League immediately.
The Red Devils are in need of some inspiration and a fresh approach. Mourinho is world class coach with experience of winning trophies in different countries and would be the ideal candidate to take them back to the top of English football.
There have been several reports recently that Mourinho has an agreement with Manchester United and will replace Louis Van Gaal at the end of the season. Apparently the former Chelsea manager has already agreed a 45 million pound deal with the Old Trafford outfit according to the reputed English newspaper Daily Mirror.
