Manchester United have been linked with Wesley Sneijder even before Louis Van Gaal took over the reigns at Old Trafford in the summer. A couple of days ago we had reported that Galatasaray are willing to listen offers for the Dutch midfielder with Italian side Juventus interested.
The report mentioned that should Sneijder was willing to leave the Turkish side, they would be willing to listen to offers. It was believed that Juventus were willing to offer a €2m sign on fee to Sneijder along with an 18-month contract worth €4.5m per year. In fact Juventus manager, Max Allegri had revealed his admiration for the playmaker stating that Sneijder is a “feasible luxury” during an interview.
According to today’s reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio, Sneijder’s agent Guido Albers who spoke to Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf revealed, “Do Juventus want Sneijder? Yes, it’s true. But only when there is an agreement between the two clubs could there be a possibility of returning to Italy. Until then, he will concentrate solely on Galatasaray. Should there really be a transfer, Sneijder would be happy to return to Italy, where spent his best years.”
The above revelations certainly hint that the 30 year old play-maker is interested to move in the near future and should Juventus sign Sneijder, United will have to look elsewhere to find a player with similar potential.
