Manchester United are reportedly on he verge of completing a club record €60m move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, with reports from Chile claiming the 27-year-old has verbally agreed to join the Premier League side on a four-year deal.
Vidal has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with the saga threatening to become the longest-running in this summer’s transfer window, but now Chilean newspaper El Mercurio has reported that the midfielder is all set to join Louis van Gaal’s revolution, agreeing to a four-year deal worth £120,000-a-week.
In an interesting development, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the medical tests Vidal underwent in Turin yesterday as he returned from his post-World Cup holiday was actually a pre-medical examination performed at United’s request!
