Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes has been linked with a move away from Spain this summer and the likes of Manchester United and Juventus are chasing the highly rated Portuguese international.
Gomes has been outstanding for the La Liga outfit ever since joining them from Benfica and has attracted a lot of interest from several European heavyweights.
According to Spanish outlet Superdeporte, Valencia have decided on a fee for the talented central midfielder. The La Liga giants are ready to sell Gomes for a fee of 65 million Euros this summer.
It is highly unlikely that Juventus will shell out that much money for any player. Despite their status in Italian football and their resources, Juventus rarely break the bank for big money signings.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with the player as well. There are reports that Gomes was promised to Jose Mourinho by Jorge Mendes.
Mourinho is expected to take charge of the Red Devils this summer and Mendes apparently promised to deliver Gomes at Old Trafford. Mendes represents Mourinho as well as Gomes and has great links with Manchester United.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Gomes now. But what is certain is that despite his obvious talent, 65 million is an absurd price to pay for him. There are better players out there for that kind of money.
