Liverpool are set to lose their talented young striker Jerome Sinclair to Watford.
The highly talented forward will leave the Reds at the end of this season. The player’s contract expires at the end of June and an extension has been ruled out.
The striker will join Watford on the 1st of July 2016 according to latest reports.
Sinclair’s departure will be a blow for Liverpool, who rate the English forward quite highly. Sinclair made his first team debut under Klopp this season and is regarded as one of the best players to come through the club’s academy.
After Jordan Rossiter, Liverpool will now lose another talented academy player. Rossiter joined Rangers earlier this month.
Meanwhile, in other news, Jose Mourinho has been told that the Manchester United job is his if Van Gaal leaves at the end of the season.
The Portuguese has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for a few months now and it will be surprising if he does not take over before the start of next season.
The former Chelsea manager is out of a job now and could be tempted to return if a club like Manchester United come calling. Sky Sports’ report on Mourinho is unclear. They state that Mourinho can have the job if Van Gaal leaves.
If it depends on the Dutchman quitting himself, then the move is highly unlikely. Furthermore, it would be quite strange if the Manchester United hierarchy leave such an important club decision at the hands of Van Gaal instead of deciding themselves if they want to get rid of him.
