With all the domestic campaigns done and dusted, it is time for every club to focus on the transfer market and improve their chances of doing well next season.

Although the transfer window officially opens on the 1st of July, almost every club has started working on their deals and new signings are being confirmed every day. Here at Soccerlens, in our daily transfer news roundup column, we will bring you the latest stories from over the last 24 hours.

Manchester United offer £13.3m-a-year contract to Neymar

Manchester United have submitted a mega money contract offer for the Barcelona winger Neymar.

The Brazilian is a target for Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Real Madrid. The French champions have offered to double Neymar’s current wages of around 7 million pounds a year.

Real Madrid have offered the player a six year deal worth around 11.7 million pounds a year.

Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the South American as well and it seems that Manchester United are quite determined to land him this summer. There have been reports of a disagreement between Barcelona and the player regarding his wages and the Red Devils are willing to take advantage of that with a stunning offer of 13.3 million pounds per season.

All three clubs are also willing to trigger Neymar’s release clause and his agent Wagner Ribiero has already advised him to join one of those three clubs.

As things stand, this seems like a typical case of agents plating stories in the press in order to secure lucrative contracts for their clients.

Both PSG and Manchester United would be a step down for Neymar and Real Madrid’s rivalry with Barcelona complicates any potential transfer.

Wojciech Szczesny set for Arsenal return

Polish goalkeeper Szczesny is all set to return to Arsenal after talks of an extension with Roma were unsuccessful.

The Arsenal star was on loan at Roma last season and was their first choice keeper as the Italians finished in top three. The player has previously stated that he enjoys the Serie A and would consider staying. But it seems that the talks are not progressing well.

With Cech at Arsenal, it is highly unlikely that Szczesny will get a chance next season.

The Polish keeper might have to explore other options now. Unless Roma can come to an agreement with the Premier League giants, the player will have to wait for his other suitors to make a move.

The player recently claimed that he is focused on the Euros and the decision regarding his future will have to wait.

He said: “Arsenal and Roma are talking but I don’t want to worry about it now,” Szczesny said. “Whether I’m an Arsenal player or a Roma player right now, it makes no difference to me. I want to focus on this tournament.”

Ryan Giggs set to leave Manchester United

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is all set to leave his position as the club’s assistant manager and announce his departure from the club.

According to reports, Jose Mourinho is unwilling to keep him as the club’s assistant manager but will offer him a different role if the Welshman wishes to stay.

However, Giggs wants to develop as a coach and will opt for a challenge elsewhere.

His departure from Manchester United is expected to be announced this week.
